| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bare-headed bust of Louis XVI facing left, with elaborately dressed hair tied at the back with a ribbon bow, rendered in the neoclassical style by engraver Pierre-Benjamin Duvivier. The king's portrait is naturalistic and finely modeled, with visible curling locks framing the nape of the neck. A small five-pointed star appears in the lower field below the truncation.
