The entire design is bordered by a fine toothed inner rim. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The quartered royal arms of Savoy displayed on an oval shield, surmounted by a royal crown and encircled by a decorative wreath of laurel and floral ornaments forming a collar. The shield bears the dynastic quarters of Savoy, Jerusalem, Cyprus, and Sardinia, with the central escutcheon of Savoy. The circumferential legend DVX·SABAVD·ET·MONTISFER·PRINC·PEDEM·&· records the ruler's titles as Duke of Savoy and Montferrat and Prince of Piedmont. The field is plain and the whole composition is executed in a refined late Baroque engraving style. |
