| Obverse description | The obverse displays a hand-engraved shield-shaped cartouche decorated with flanking palm fronds, bearing the personal identification number 3951 in the upper left and the legend C.H. FORSBREY across the center band. Below, the abbreviations M.T., S.A.S.C., and E. AFRICA are engraved, followed by the date 1917-18 at the base, identifying the bearer as a member of the South African Service Corps in East Africa. A small hole is pierced at the top of the token. |
