正面描述 The field is divided into a three-by-three grid of rectangular panels by raised linear borders. The central panel bears a stylised lotus or floral rosette motif, rendered in low relief in the traditional Bhutanese hammered style. The four corner panels display interlaced foliate scrollwork, while the top and bottom central panels contain further floral or cloud-scroll ornaments. The entire composition is characteristic of Tibeto-Buddhist decorative iconography, with no inscriptions or legends present.

附加信息

Bhutan's coinage during the Deb Raja period was produced by hand at local workshops with minimal standardization, which is why weight and diameter vary considerably across surviving examples despite the catalog specifications. The "Deb" in the series name refers to the Druk Desi, the temporal ruler of Bhutan — a position that had been in political decline since the consolidation of power under the hereditary Wangchuck dynasty beginning in 1907, making these issues relics of an administrative structure already being dismantled as they were struck.
