| Beschrijving voorzijde | Armored half-length bust of a helmeted prince facing right, clad in elaborately engraved plate armor with a ruff collar at the neck and a plumed helmet surmounting the head. The figure's right arm is raised and holds a sword over the shoulder, while the left arm bears a decorated pauldron. The bust is rendered in the bold, somewhat archaic style characteristic of late 16th-century Dutch hammered coinage. A beaded inner circle frames the effigy, and the surrounding Latin legend, interrupted by pellet stops, reads: · DEVS · CONSTIT · ET · TRANS · REGNA · 1594 ·, with the date 1594 incorporated into the legend at the top of the coin. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central device comprising an elaborately mantled crowned coat of arms displaying the rampant lion of Gelderland on a shield, surmounted by a crested helm with ornate lambrequins and flanked by flourishing acanthus-style scrollwork. Above the helm, a double-headed eagle is visible as part of the crest, consistent with the heraldic tradition of the Duchy of Guelders. A beaded inner circle surrounds the central device, and the Latin legend in the outer field reads: · MO · NO · ARG · DVC · GELRIÆ · CO · 3VT · *, identifying the coin as new silver money of the Duchy of Guelders and County of Zutphen. |
