Obverse description Unadorned right-facing effigy of King Frederik VI with a bare head and plain, straight neck truncation. The engraver's initials F.A. appear at the base of the neck truncation. A circular legend surrounds the portrait, rendered in Latin, invoking the royal title and divine authority. The portrait is executed in a restrained neoclassical style characteristic of early nineteenth-century Danish coinage.
