| Reverse description | Cross of Jerusalem with castles and lions in the four quadrants, enclosed within a beaded border and encircled by a Latin legend. The quartered arms display the emblems of Castile (castle) and León (lion) in alternating positions, a standard heraldic device of the Spanish colonial coinage of Philip II. The irregular flan and weak strike in areas are consistent with the hand-hammered cob technique used at this mint. A small suspension hole is visible near the rim, suggesting later use as a pendant or jewelry piece. |
