Obverse description Royal cypher of Felipe V (Philip V), consisting of an interlaced crowned monogram in the center of the field, characteristic of the macuquina (cob) coinage style. Small pellets or annulets appear in the surrounding field. The design is irregularly struck on a crudely shaped flan, typical of hammered cob coinage of the Lima mint.
