The design is struck in the characteristic irregular hammered style of the period, resulting in an uneven flan with partially visible details. The field surrounding the monogram shows the rough, textured surface inherent to hand-struck colonial silver. No legend is consistently visible due to the nature of the cob striking technique. |

The date 1659 appears partially in the field, as is typical of the cob striking method. The flan is irregularly shaped and the design shows partial strike coverage consistent with hammered cob (macuquina) production at the Lima Mint. |
