| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field displays a crowned cross with the arms of Castile (castles) and León (lions) alternating in the four quadrants, all enclosed within a roped (corded) border. The Potosí mint mark (P) and assayer's initial appear to the left and right of the cross respectively, as documented for the 1675 P-E issue. Beginning in 1680, a secondary two-digit date is added below the cross. Issues from 1679 to 1701 incorporate three small pellets disposed around the cross, positioned to the left, above, and to the right of the central cross. |
