| Beschrijving keerzijde | A heraldic shield of arms occupies the central field, with the date 1792 positioned below the pointed base of the shield, the tip of which falls between the digits 7 and 9. The encircling legend LANCASTER HALFPENNY runs around the shield; a die line is noted cutting between the letters C and A, and between P and E within the legend. The overall design follows the formal armorial style characteristic of English provincial Conder token reverses of the 1790s. |
