The peripheral legend THE CITY TEA WAREHOUSE curves along the upper rim within a beaded border, while the issuer's name J. MACGREGOR arches prominently across the upper central field. Below, in three lines occupying the centre of the coin, the address 320, GEORGE STREET SYDNEY is inscribed in bold raised lettering. Three small floral or rosette ornaments are evenly spaced along the lower inner rim, providing decorative punctuation. The entire design is contained within a continuous beaded inner circle. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse bears the Coat of Arms of New South Wales as its central device, depicting a quartered shield with a lion and a star in the first quarter, a sailing ship in the second, a sheaf of wheat in the third, and an anchor in the fourth, surmounted by a radiant sun with a human face. The shield is supported on the left by an emu and on the right by a kangaroo, both rendered in fine relief. A ribbon scroll beneath the shield carries the motto ADVANCE AUSTRALIA. The peripheral legend THE SULTAN'S STEAM COFFEE WORKS curves around the upper rim, with ESTABLISHED appearing on a secondary arc within the border. The establishment date 1855 and the place name SYDNEY appear in the lower field, flanked by small ornamental stops, all within a beaded border. |
