正面描述 The obverse features a prominent circular central hole surrounded by a raised ring, with a finely detailed Imperial crown positioned at the top of the field above the hole. The circular legend GEORGE·V·KING·EMPEROR runs continuously around the annular field between the central hole and the milled outer border, executed in bold raised Latin lettering. The coin's distinctive holed format replaces the traditional royal effigy, with the crown serving as the principal sovereign emblem. A fine milled border frames the entire design.

附加信息

Fiji's first dedicated coinage series, of which this is a part, was authorized following decades of the islands relying on a patchwork of foreign coins and IOUs issued by local merchants. The Colonial Office approved the distinctive local issue in 1934, with KM#1 marking the inaugural denomination — a coin produced specifically because the plantation economy required small change that existing British colonial issues couldn't reliably supply.
