Reverse description The heraldic arms of the Associated Irish Mine Company displayed centrally, comprising on a chevron between two crossed shovels in chief and a bugle-horn in base, three pickaxes, with a windlass as crest, all rendered in engraved relief. The date 1789 is divided by the shield. The circular legend ASSOCIATED IRISH MINE COMPANY runs along the periphery within a toothed border, framing the armorial composition in the manner characteristic of late Georgian trade token design.
