| Beschrijving keerzijde | A crowned Irish harp occupies the central field, its crown surmounting the instrument and the forepillar formed as a stylized figure. The date 1775 is divided by the harp, with 17 to the left and 75 to the right of the instrument. The circular legend NORTH WALES surrounds the central device, distributed around the periphery in Latin characters. The overall composition closely mimics the reverse type of the contemporary British regal halfpenny, consistent with the evasion token tradition of imitating official coinage designs while altering the legends to avoid prosecution. |
