| 裏面の説明 | Elaborate crowned Portuguese royal coat of arms at centre, comprising the escutcheon with the five quinas (inescutcheons bearing five bezants) and the bordure of castles, all set within an ornate Baroque cartouche with volute and acanthus scrollwork. The royal crown surmounts the shield from above. The entire composition fills the field to the periphery and is devoid of a surrounding legend, presenting a bold and decorative heraldic design typical of Maria I gold coinage. |
