Obverse description Two Hindu deities, Vishnu and his consort Lakshmi, depicted seated facing one another in a formal, frontal composition. Vishnu is shown holding the chakra (discus), symbolic of the cosmic mind and the wheel of time, and the shankha (conch shell), emblematic of the primordial sound of existence. The figures are rendered in the characteristic flat, stylized artistic tradition of Vijayanagara gold coinage, with minimal field detail on the irregular flan.

The inscription reads 'Sri Pra / ta pa Ha ri / Ha ra', referencing the royal epithet and name of the issuing ruler Hari Hara II. The lettering is bold and deeply struck in the characteristic Vijayanagara epigraphic style, with horizontal register lines separating each line of text. The flan is irregular, typical of hammered gold coinage of the period.
