| Reverse description | The allegorical figure of Winged Victory (inspired by the Angel of Independence monument in Mexico City) stands in full relief at centre, depicted as a draped female figure with large outstretched wings, her right arm raised and extended forward, set atop a classical architectural pedestal. Behind her, the snow-capped volcanic peaks of Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl rise across the middle ground, with an open landscape in the lower field flanked by agave plants and a small eagle at lower right. The mint mark Mo appears to the right of the figure. The curved legend along the upper periphery reads 1/2 ONZA PLATA PURA, with the date and fineness LEY .999 completing the inscription. |
