| 背面描述 | Central field bearing a multiline Arabic poetic inscription in nasta'liq script, arranged in two or three horizontal registers filling the flan. The legend reads a verse proclaiming that gold and silver sun and moon have been stamped by the seal of the Imam and rightful master of time (Sahib al-Zaman), a formulaic Shi'a religious invocation standard on Zand-period coinage. The calligraphy is bold and closely packed, with sweeping ascenders characteristic of Iranian hammered gold issues of the period, and the inscription extends nearly to the coin's rim. |
