| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field dominated by bold Arabic calligraphic inscription in nasta'liq script arranged in two principal registers across the flan, reading 'Ya Karim' (O Generous One, an invocation) in the upper register, with the mint name and date below. The lower portion of the field contains the regnal formula citing the Rasht mint (Dar al-Marz Rasht) and the AH date 1191. The legends are rendered in a fluid, cursive hand characteristic of Zand-period gold coinage, with the inscription filling the circular flan to its edges, leaving minimal open field. |
