At the top, bold Fraktur script reads 'Notgeld der Stadt Glauchau', with the denomination '1/2 Mark' in oval cartouches on each lateral tower. A central block of red Gothic cursive text states the validity conditions and issue date of 1 June 1921, above a panoramic silhouette vignette of the Glauchau townscape with a secondary oval inset showing a seated craftsman figure; the city arms and serial number appear at the foot. |
