| Obverse description | The obverse is framed by two rendered medieval city gate towers with arched wooden doors, printed in black and mauve on cream paper. At the top, bold Fraktur script reads 'Notgeld der Stadt Glauchau', with the denomination '1/2 Mark' in oval cartouches on each lateral tower. A central block of red Gothic cursive text states the validity conditions and issue date of 1 June 1921, above a panoramic silhouette vignette of the Glauchau townscape with a secondary oval inset showing a seated craftsman figure; the city arms and serial number appear at the foot. |
