Beschrijving voorzijde	Bare-headed bust of Ferdinand VII facing right, with truncation at the shoulder, dividing the fractional value 1/2 to the left and the denomination mark M. to the right of the neck. The circular legend FERDINANDUS·III·D·G·NAVARRE·REX runs around the periphery, with the date ·1818· positioned in the lower exergual area. The portrait is rendered in a classical neoclassical style typical of early 19th-century Spanish coinage.

Beschrijving keerzijde	The crowned arms of Navarre — depicting the traditional chain device on the escutcheon — occupy the centre of the field, flanked on either side by crossed cannons or sceptres. The mint marks P. appear to the left and right of the shield. The circular legend RELIGIO·CHRISTIANA· runs around the upper periphery, with the Pamplona mint initial letters P. P. completing the inscription in the lower field.
