正面描述 Crowned Portuguese royal arms displayed at center, featuring the traditional quartered shield with castles and bezants, supported by an ornamental cartouche. The crowned shield is rendered in bold relief against a flat field. The encircling legend reads MICHAEL.I.D.G.REX PORT.ET.D.GUINEÆ, attributing the coin to King Miguel I of Portugal and the Algarves, Lord of Guinea. The coin is bordered by a fine dentilated rim. The style is consistent with early 19th-century Portuguese colonial coinage design, as catalogued by Gomes (2013) as M1 E2.01.

附加信息

Miguel I claimed the Portuguese throne in 1828 after reneging on his constitutional oath, triggering the Liberal Wars against his exiled brother Pedro IV. Pattern coinage for Angola from this period reflects the administrative scramble to assert royal authority over overseas territories — legitimate circulating issues for the colony were never finalized under Miguel's reign, which collapsed in 1834 when he was forced into permanent exile at Genoa. KM#Pn3 exists precisely because the political ground shifted before production could begin.
