Obverse description Central field displays the quartered Habsburg arms — featuring alternating horizontal stripes and vertical pales — surmounted by an Imperial crown with elaborate scrollwork supporters on either side. The crowned shield is rendered in fine relief with ornate baroque cartouche elements. A circular Latin legend surrounds the design, reading the abbreviated titles of Emperor Joseph II as Holy Roman Emperor, King of Hungary and Bohemia, and Archduke of Austria. The mint mark 'H' for Günzburg appears at the base of the design within the legend. The coin's rim is bordered by a fine milled edge.
