| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse bears a bold Brahmi legend occupying the majority of the flan, executed in deeply incused strokes typical of punch-marked or die-struck Naga coinage of the early medieval period. The characters are large relative to the coin's diameter and arranged in an informal, space-filling manner without a formal border. The script is archaic Brahmi, consistent with inscriptions attributable to the Naga rulers of Narwar (ancient Padmavati region) dating to approximately the 3rd–4th century CE. The surface displays a green patina with areas of cuprite, attesting to age and burial. Individual aksharas are clearly distinguishable despite the irregular flan. |
