Reverse description A large, finely rendered fleur-de-lis occupies the central field, its petals and foliage rendered in high relief with granulated detailing on the central floret and bound base. The design is bold and stylised in the baroque manner characteristic of late 17th-century Alsatian coinage. The circular legend is separated from the central device by a beaded inner border, with the whole enclosed within a milled edge.
