| Obverse description | Auroch's head facing forward in the central field, depicted in low relief characteristic of Moldavian hammered coinage. The bovine head features prominent horns curving outward and a star or decorative element between the horns. A beaded inner border partially frames the design. The flan is irregular in shape, consistent with hand-struck medieval production. |

Iliаș I ruled Moldavia only briefly before being deposed by his brother Stephen II in 1433, making this issue among the shortest-lived in the medieval Moldavian series. The R6 rarity designation in Kopicki reflects genuine scarcity — not simply low survival rates, but an exceptionally compressed window of production measured in months rather than years.
