| Opis awersu | Crowned half-length frontal effigy of Edward III, robed and facing slightly right, depicted within a polylobe or cusped inner circle, raising a sword in his right hand. The figure is rendered in the Gothic style typical of Anglo-Gascon hammered coinage, with the crown clearly delineated above the royal visage. A continuous Gothic legend in uncial lettering surrounds the central device, separated from the effigy by a beaded inner circle. The overall composition follows the standard obverse type established for Plantagenet issues of Guyenne. |

| Opis rewersu | A bold long cross pattée extends to the coin's inner border, dividing the reverse field into four quarters. Each angle formed by the arms of the cross contains three pellets arranged in a triangular grouping, a distinctive feature of this half-groschen type. An inner beaded circle frames the cross design, and a two-line Gothic uncial legend referencing Edward's lordship of Aquitaine and the doxology occupies the outer field. The overall execution is characteristic of hammered English continental coinage of the mid-fourteenth century. |
