| Beschrijving voorzijde | Crowned half-length frontal effigy of Edward III, robed and facing slightly right, depicted within a polylobe or cusped inner circle, raising a sword in his right hand. The figure is rendered in the Gothic style typical of Anglo-Gascon hammered coinage, with the crown clearly delineated above the royal visage. A continuous Gothic legend in uncial lettering surrounds the central device, separated from the effigy by a beaded inner circle. The overall composition follows the standard obverse type established for Plantagenet issues of Guyenne. |
