(Translation: Count Theoderic.)
Reverse description A large cross pattée extends to the inner circle, dividing the field into four quarters, each quarter plain. A beaded inner circle frames the cross, with the arms of the cross terminating at its boundary. The circular legend in uncial Latin script occupies the outer field between the inner and outer beaded borders, identifying the mint of Hasselt. The cross is boldly struck and dominates the reverse, consistent with the standard gros type of the region and era.
