Obverse description Central H monogram of Hainaut enclosed within a hexalobe frame, the interior of the monogram decorated with three small stars arranged in the field. Four rosettes ornament the spaces between the lobes of the hexalobe border, creating a symmetrical and heraldic composition. The surrounding Latin legend, separated by a cross pattee at the beginning, runs along the outer periphery of the coin in Gothic script.
