Beschrijving voorzijde	Central field features the heraldic lion of Flanders rampant, depicted facing left with a crowned head, rendered in the Gothic style characteristic of 14th-century Flemish coinage. The lion is shown with raised forelegs and a curling tail, set within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend in uncial Gothic lettering reads LVDOVIC: DEI: G: COMES: FLAnD`, identifying Louis as Count of Flanders by the grace of God. The overall design is boldly struck in the hammered tradition, with the lion dominating the field in high relief.
