| Beschrijving voorzijde | Crowned, draped bust of Charles I facing left, rendered in the characteristic hammered style of the Tower Mint. The Roman numeral II appears to the right of the bust, denoting the halfgroat denomination. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, separated from the bust by a beaded inner circle.
