Two concentric circular legends surround the central device, separated by a beaded border, with the outer legend running along the coin's periphery. The double-legend arrangement is typical of the gros coinage of the Prince-Bishopric of Liège, with Gothic uncial lettering and pellet or colon stops dividing the words. |
