Obverse description Printed in teal-green on a light blue ground, the obverse carries a central vignette of the Seventeen Arch Bridge at the Summer Palace, rendered in fine line engraving with a mountainous landscape in the background. Flanking the vignette are two large quatrefoil guilloche medallions bearing the Chinese character 半分 (half fen), while the bank title 中國聯合準備銀行 appears in Chinese characters across the upper field below the issuer's circular emblem. Two red square official seals are impressed in the lower centre, and red block serial numbers 〈25〉 appear at upper left and upper right.

Reverse description Printed entirely in teal-green on a light blue ground, the reverse is composed of an intricate guilloche lathe-work underprint filling the entire field, with a large central lobed medallion containing the Chinese characters 半分 (half fen) flanked on each side by circular guilloche panels bearing the fraction numeral 1/2 in white reserve. An ornate scrollwork border with foliate corner ornaments frames the composition.
