| Description de l’avers | Armored bust of Carlos II facing right, rendered in the late Spanish Habsburg style typical of hammered coinage. The effigy displays a cuirassed shoulder and flowing hair, with the portrait occupying the central field of the irregularly shaped flan. A partial circular legend surrounds the bust, partially visible due to the characteristics of hammer-struck production. The overall relief is bold though uneven, consistent with the hand-struck technique employed at the Valencia Mint in the late 17th century. |

| Description du revers | Central shield bearing the arms of Valencia — a crowned coat of arms displaying the characteristic diagonal bars — flanked on either side by the assayer's initials 'L L' positioned in the left and right fields respectively. A small cross or ornament appears at the top of the composition. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with a partial circular legend running along the periphery of the irregularly shaped flan. The date 1688 appears within the reverse legend, as was customary for Valencian hammered gold coinage of the period. |
