Reverse description A three-line Latin inscription occupies the central field, reading DVCA REIPVB TVGIEN, identifying the issuing authority as the Republic of Zug. Beneath the inscription, the denomination of one-half ducat flanks the divided date 1692, presented as 16 and 92 on either side of the fractional value. The entire design is enclosed within a wreath composed of laurel branches, a classical device denoting civic honour and authority. The composition follows the standard typology of Swiss cantonal trade ducats of the period.
