| Obverse lettering | P D C F CA D I XXXI (Translation: Paul Campofregoso, Cardinal and Thirty-first Doge of Genoa) |
| Reverse description | A cross pattée is centrally placed within a polylobe frame, the interior points of each lobe adorned with trefoil ornaments, the entire composition enclosed by a beaded border. The design reflects the Genoese hammered gold coinage tradition of the late fifteenth century, combining Gothic decorative vocabulary with heraldic clarity. A circumferential Latin uncial legend invoking the Holy Roman Emperor Conrad as nominal overlord encircles the motif, terminating with the initial mark of the responsible mint official. |
