Aanvullende informatie

Apollo 7, launched in October 1968, was NASA's first crewed mission following the Apollo 1 launchpad fire that killed Grissom, White, and Chaffee eighteen months earlier. The eleven-day Earth-orbital flight was considered a make-or-break moment for the program — a failed mission would almost certainly have ended the lunar goal before it began. It succeeded on every technical objective.

Solomon Islands has issued commemorative coinage under Elizabeth II in considerable volume since the early 2000s, with space themes recurring frequently across silver-plated issues marketed primarily to thematic collectors rather than for any domestic monetary purpose.
