The date '1283' (عام 1283) is rendered in bold, somewhat crude Maghribi script, with the thousands and hundreds digits appearing above the bar and the remaining digits below. The hammered flan is irregular in shape and shows typical characteristics of hand-struck Moroccan coinage of the period. |
