| Reverse description | Central field bearing the Hijri date in Arabic numerals, divided by a horizontal bar, all enclosed within a circular border of radiating triangular points forming a sun or star motif consistent with the obverse. The date '1283' (عام 1283) is rendered in bold, somewhat crude Maghribi script, with the thousands and hundreds digits appearing above the bar and the remaining digits below. The hammered flan is irregular in shape and shows typical characteristics of hand-struck Moroccan coinage of the period. |
