The inscription is contained within a circular beaded border that follows the irregular polygonal flan. The hammered strike produces a slightly off-centre impression with characteristic uneven relief across the field. The flat surrounding area shows natural die wear and surface granularity consistent with hand-struck silver coinage of the sixteenth century. |
