| Obverse description | Left-facing effigy of Habib Bourguiba, President of the Tunisian Republic, rendered as a finely detailed bare-headed bust with carefully engraved hair, the portrait executed in high relief in the style of French medallic art. The engraver's signature R. CORBIN appears incuse in the lower field beneath the truncation. An Arabic legend curves around the upper and lower periphery, identifying the subject and his title, with the text flowing continuously around the portrait within a raised rim. |
