| Beschrijving voorzijde | Brown and multicolour note with an intricate guilloche underprint in light tones. A detailed vignette of an astrolabe occupies the right portion of the face, rendered in intaglio with fine ornamental detail. Arabic inscriptions appear centrally giving the denomination and issuer, with the date in both Hijri and Gregorian calendars, alongside serial numbers at upper left and lower left; signature varieties 21 and 22 are known. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is dominated by a central vignette of the spiral minaret of Samarra (Malwiya), rendered in fine engraved linework with the surrounding fortified walls visible at its base. An ornate arched mihrab panel appears to the left of the minaret. The denomination numeral '1/2' appears at upper right and lower right within decorative cartouches, and the issuer name and denomination are lettered in English across the top and bottom margins respectively. |
