The shield is flanked on either side by the characteristic Burgundian firesteels (briquet), emblems of the Order of the Golden Fleece, each hung from a chain segment. The Burgundian saltire cross forms the underlying armorial composition. The encircling Latin legend DOMINUS MIHI ADIVTOR (The Lord is my helper) runs around the periphery, separated by pellets. |
