| Descrição do reverso | Within a beaded inner circle on the square klippe flan, a rampant lion rears to the left with open jaws, raised forepaws, and a prominently curved tail, rendered in bold hammered relief characteristic of Dutch provincial coinage. The date 1645 appears at the top of the legend, accompanied by a fleur-de-lis mint mark, with the Latin inscription running continuously around the lion within the beaded circle. The field is plain, with the design struck in high relief consistent with piedfort production. The overall style is typical of West Friesland half Leeuwendaalder issues of the mid-seventeenth century. |
