Beschrijving voorzijde Within a beaded inner circle, an armored knight stands facing left with head turned to the right, wearing a plumed helmet and full plate armor. The figure holds a ribbon or sword in the right hand while the left arm rests behind a shield bearing a rampant lion to the left. The composition is characteristic of the Dutch Lion Dollar (Leeuwendaalder) type, rendered in the bold relief typical of hammered klippe coinage. The surrounding Latin legend runs between the beaded inner circle and the square klippe flan's edge.

Beschrijving keerzijde Within a beaded inner circle on the square klippe flan, a rampant lion rears to the left with open jaws, raised forepaws, and a prominently curved tail, rendered in bold hammered relief characteristic of Dutch provincial coinage. The date 1645 appears at the top of the legend, accompanied by a fleur-de-lis mint mark, with the Latin inscription running continuously around the lion within the beaded circle. The field is plain, with the design struck in high relief consistent with piedfort production. The overall style is typical of West Friesland half Leeuwendaalder issues of the mid-seventeenth century.
