The eagle's wings are spread and rendered in detailed relief, filling the central field. The imperial portrait is rendered in the Renaissance style typical of mid-sixteenth century Low Countries coinage, with considerable detail in the crown and regalia. The effigy is contained within a beaded inner circle, with the Latin titulature legend surrounding the design in the outer border. |
