Obverse description Frontal crowned bust of King Enrique IV facing the viewer, rendered in a crude medieval style typical of Castilian hammered billon coinage. The king is depicted wearing a decorated crown with visible turrets or fleurons, with schematic facial features and draped shoulders. A beaded inner circle frames the central effigy, with the Latin legend running around the periphery of the flan. The portrait, while stylised, conveys royal authority through the prominent crown. The irregular flan shows characteristic striking weakness at the edges.
